NEW Variant : Intel NEHALEM
Posted On Saturday, November 22, 2008 at at 4:27 PM by tridabizzIntel launched the Intel Core microarchitecture success, namely Intel's Nehalem microarchitecture in Quarter 4 2008, the manifold with a desktop processor code corei7. processor for servers and mobile use base Nehalem will follow in the years 2009 and 2010.
Nehalem name taken from the Nehalem river in Oregon regions, the United States. Code name is the long list of changes name that starts since 2000 and is estimated at the time called NetBurst. Nehalem specifications, according to several sources, among others, as follows:
• 2, 4 or 8 cores, with 731 million transistor for Quad core variants
• 45 nm manufacturing process
• Memory controller integrated with the support DDR3 SDRAM from 1 to 6 channels
• Integrated graphics processor (IGP)
• Function FSB intelligence replaced with a quick path interconnect.
• Multi-threading and Hyperthreading
Processor will be present in several variants, both for the server, desktop and notebook. Nehalem Microarchitecture have 7 codename different, consisting of 2 processor servers, 3 desktop processor, and 2 mobile processor.
